In
order to create the best quality portrait, I need a photograph from
you. This can be either a digital (online or via email) picture or one
sent by snail mail.
The picture needs to be fairly large, and
feature a headshot where the person's face is at least three inches tall
on a physical photograph, preferable as the focal point of the photo. I
can work from any style of photo, but I prefer candid photos because
they tend to capture a certain spark that posed photographs don't
usually have.
Keep in mind, the clearer the photo, the better the drawing will be.
I can only work with what you send me.
If you can, I like to work from multiple photos, because it gives me
a better idea of what the person looks like. Remember, while you may
have known this person for years, I only know them from the photos you
send, so the more photos the better.
Any photos sent via snail mail will be
returned, unaltered and undamaged. Joe just has to scan them into his
computer and reprint them as a reference. Original photos will be mailed
back immediately. |
